The two clubs will go face to face in the Champions League finals this season.

Bayern Munich and PSG will compete in the UEFA Champions League finals this season after defeating Lyon and Leipzig in the semi-finals respectively.

Ahead of the clash, when we compare the valuation of both teams, it is PSG who had spent more bucks than the Bavarians.

The Les Parisiens’ entire squad valuation stands at roughly £700m, in which Neymar and Kylian Mbappe stand out as the expensive buys.

PSG Starting-Eleven against RB Leipzig

  • Kehrer – £ 33.3 million
  • Kimpembe – Free Transfer
  • Thiago Silva – £ 35 million
  • Bernat – £ 4.5 million
  • Herrera – Free Transfer
  • Marquinhos – £ 28.3 million
  • Paredes – £ 35 million
  • Di Maria – £ 44 million
  • Mbappe – £ 162 million
  • Neymar – £ 198 million

The Star duo had cost the Ligue 1 champions around whopping £360m, making them the most expensive transfers of the club as well as in the history of association football.

Elsewhere, the Bayern side that faced Lyon in the semi-finals cost only around £90m, way too lower than PSG.

Surprisingly, the most expensive player in that line-up was Manuel Neuer, who was bought by the Bavarians for £27m in 2011. The club’s top buys including Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard and Correntin Tolisso were absent due to injuries.

PSG have owned themselves a reputation for splurging a lot on high-profile players while still ending up as a non-impactful side in the European competitions.

Contrarily, Bayern are known for their smart strategies in the transfer market and have the penchant for bringing the youngsters, especially the homegrown stars to the spotlight.

The Ligue 1 Champions will look to end their Champions League hoodoo this term while Hans-Dieter Flick’s men are looking to continue their rampage.
