The former Brazilian star has said that Neymar is technically better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Brazilian star Neymar has long been considered the next best to iconic duo Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Despite suffering a lot of injuries in his career, the PSG star’s performance hasn’t dipped and he always managed to stay at the top of his game.

From winning the continental treble with Barcelona, the Gold medal at Olympics with Brazil to being the record signing in football history, Neymar’s legacy could be matched only by a few others.

Now, the former La Selecao star Cafu claims that Neymar is technically better than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He also insisted that the 28-year-old should work on his leadership qualities.

Cafu said (h/t Goal): “Neymar is technically better than Messi, better than Cristiano Ronaldo, but he must assume the responsibility of a leader.

“One must dedicate themselves 100 per cent to football, I’m not better than Neymar, but I am better than other right-backs because I dedicated myself to that.

“He [Neymar] has to become a captain.”

Neymar, who has 70 goals to his name for the Brazilian national team, is just seven goals away from equalling all-time top scorer Pele’s record.

The PSG star had been off to a slow start to this season before he gained momentum by scoring a double against Bordeaux last week.

Having world-class attacking partners Messi and Mbappe by his side, Neymar would look to win his first-ever Champions League with Paris-Saint Germain this season.
