Brest
After ending a two-game losing run thanks to a 2-0 win over Avranches in the Coupe de France, Brest will look to make it back-to-back wins when they host Lille in the Ligue 1.
The hosts went into the World Cup break in high spirits after recording a 2-1 victory over Troyes in their last game before the break. But since their return to competitive action, things have not been great for them.
They have lost to Lyon (4-2) and, most recently, to Monaco (1-0), leaving them sitting inside the relegation zone, two points behind a safe spot.
New manager Eric Roy will be hoping to turn around the club’s fortunes on his return to management after over ten years away from the dugout. The 55-year-old has been tasked with helping the club secure its top-flight survival but come into this job on the back of a sporting director job at Watford, which he held until July 2020.
But having made over 340 appearances as a player in Ligue 1, the Frenchman has a lot of experience playing in this league. He will also be banking on Brest’s impressive recent record against Lille, which have left Stade Francis-Le Blé with zero points in three of their last four visits here (W1, L3).
Possible Brest starting line-up
Marco Bizot, Noah Fadiga, Christophe Herelle, Brendan Chardonnet, Lilian Brassier, Pierre Lees-Melou, Mahdi Camara, Hugo Magnetti, Romain Del Castillo, Islam Slimani, Franck Honorat.

Doubtful: None

Lille
Unlike their hosts, Lille continued from where they stopped before the break, as they won the same number of points they managed in their last two games before the World Cup hiatus.
Lille drew Rennes (1-1) and beat Angers (1-0) before national teams departed for Qatar. Since their return, they have won Clermont Foot (2-0) and drawn Reims (1-1), most recently to keep their place in the top half intact.
But the visitors come into this fixture on the back of a 2-0 win over Troyes in the Coupe De France to take their unbeaten run in all competitions to five games (W3, D2). That form will be encouraging, especially to their fans, who have seen their team go from title contenders to mid-table strugglers in three seasons.
Les Dogues have a poor record against Breast, though, having not won against their opponents in their last four tries (D2, L2). But after recording four away victories in eight Ligue 1 trips this season (D1, L3), they will fancy their chances of getting a good result here.
Possible Lille starting line-up
Lucas Chevalier, Bafodé Diakité, Alexsandro Ribeiro, Tiago Djaló, Ismaily, Benjamin Andre, Andre Gomes, Edon Zhegrova, Angel Gomes, Remy Cabella, Jonathan David.
Injured: Jose Fonte, Jonathan Bamba, Gabriel Gudmundsson
Doubtful: None
Suspended: None
