Brest

Brest will look to get their first win in five league games when they welcome title hopefuls Marseille to Stade Francis-Le Blé.

The hosts were part of one of the more entertaining Ligue 1 fixtures on opening day as they were edged out 3-2 by Lens, though the scoreline could have been a lot bleaker for them as they were 3-0 down at one point.

The Brittany club are used to getting behind at the break after going into the break behind on 17 occasions in Ligue 1 last season – a joint-second high. They will hope they can keep tight at the back as they go in search of a win that will end their four-game losing run in Ligue 1.

However, Marseille probably aren’t the ideal visitors to want to get a win considering that the visitors have left the Stade Francis-Le Blé victorious on their last three visits.

Possible Brest starting line-up

Marco Bizot; Noah Fadiga, Brendan Chrdonnet, Christophe Herelle, Lilian Brassier; Franck Honorat, Pierre lees-Melou, Haris Belkebla, Yocesf Balaili; Irvin Cardona, Matthias Pereira Lage.

Injured: Jere Uronen, Steve Mounie

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Marseille

Marseille will look to make it two wins in two Ligue 1 games when they travel to Brest on Sunday.

The visitors opened their 2022/23 Ligue 1 account last weekend with a 4-1 win over Reims thanks to goals from debutant Nuno Tavares, Luis Suarez and an own goal from Reims Wout Faes. Having closed the last campaign out with a 4-0 victory over Strasbourg, they can now win three successive Ligue 1 games by at least a three-goal margin for the first time since 1937.

The addition of Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez from Inter Milan will now add more firepower to a front line that is firing. Igor Tudor’s men have won two of their last four away league games with a three-goal margin with one of those victories coming at this venue (4-1). As such, they will fancy their chances of getting a win in this game as they look to quietly keep pace with early title favourites Paris Saint-Germain.

Possible Marseille starting line-up

Ruben Blanco; Chancel Mbemba, Samuel Gigot, Leandro Balerdi; Jonathan Clauss, Valentin Rongier, Matteo Guendouzi, Nuno Tavares; Cengiz Under, Gerson; Luis Suarez.

Injured: Pau Lopez

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None
