Arsenal could part away with Mesut Ozil

Arsenal looking to part away with Mesut Ozil

Arsenal are looking to cut their losses on Mesut Ozil this summer.

The German is on massive wages but he is no longer a key member of the starting lineup. It would make sense for the Gunners to get rid of him finally.

Ozil’s massive wages could prevent other clubs from signing him and therefore the Londoners have decided to pay him off.

As per reports, Arsenal are willing to pay him £18m or subsidise his £350,000-a-week wages if he moves to another club.

It will be interesting to see if the German has any takers this summer. He has not been at his best for a while now and it could be difficult to find a buyer for him.

On his day, Ozil is a world class playmaker but he is severely lacking in match fitness and form. His confidence will be lacking because of the lack of game time as well.

Arsenal are hoping to rebuild their side under Mikel Arteta and they need to get rid of the deadwood first. Finding a buyer for Ozil should be their top priority this summer.

The 31-year-old has one year left on his current deal and he is happy to wait it out and earn massive wages at the club, a stance similar to that of Gareth Bale’s at Real Madrid.

With the likes of Willian expected to sign, he will fall further down the pecking order at Arsenal and it would be best if the two parties parted ways this summer.
