Manchester City picked up a 3-0 win over Marseille in the Champions League earlier today.

Pep Guardiola will be delighted with his team’s performance away from home.

Manchester City were in control from start to finish and they could have easily scored more goals.

Ferran Torres gave the away side their lead on the 18th minute and Ilkay Gundogan doubled their advantage on the 76th minute. Raheem Sterling wrapped up the scoring for Manchester City five minutes later.

The Premier League giants looked very impressive tonight and they will be hoping to build on this performance and put together a winning run in Europe now.

Pep Guardiola will be desperate to win the Champions League with Manchester City and he certainly has the quality at his disposal to go all the way in the tournament.

If Manchester City can sort out their injury issues, they could be genuine contenders to win the European competition this season.

As for Marseille, they will have to improve a lot in the coming weeks if they want to get out of the group stages in the Champions League.

The French outfit were thoroughly outplayed tonight and they were chasing shadows for most of the game.

There is no doubt that they are massive underdogs as compared to Manchester City but they could have performed a lot better, especially at home.
