Champions PSG picked up a 6-1 win over Angers in the French League earlier today.

The defending champions started the season poorly but they have picked up form and momentum in the recent weeks.

Thomas Tuchel will be delighted with his team’s performance today and he will be hoping that PSG can build on this and put together a winning run now.

Today’s win takes the club up to second in the table one point behind leaders Rennes.

Alessandro Florenzi scored the opening goal of the game for the home side on the 7th minute. Neymar doubled PSG’s advantage with a well taken goal on the 36th minute.

The Brazilian scored his second of the game two minutes after restart and PSG seemed well on their way to a comfortable victory.

Angers got back into the game with a goal from Traore on the 52nd minute.

However, Draxler, Gueye and Mbappe scored to put the game beyond the away side’s reach.

It will be interesting to see how Angers bounce back after a thumping like this.

Their fans will be expecting a strong reaction in the next game and it will be interesting to see if they can step up and deliver.

Meanwhile, PSG will look to overtake Rennes in the coming weeks by continuing their current run of form. They are the best team in the country by far and their fans will be delighted to see that normal service has resumed after a stuttering start to the season.
