The French World cup winner wants to leave PSG this summer.

PSG star Kylian Mbappe is reportedly set to hand a transfer request to join Real Madrid as he looks to leave the French capital club this summer.

The French World Cup win had been delaying his contract extension talks before PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi insisted that Mbappe would remain at the club this summer after the sensational transfer of Lionel Messi.

PSG chief said: “The future of Mbappe? I think everyone knows. His future is clear. He said it himself. He wanted us to have a competitive team. “

“Well, we have the most competitive in the world right now. So there is no excuse for him now. He can’t do anything else but stay.”

Les Parisiens gaffer Mauricio Pochettino has often repeated that Mbappe’s future wouldn’t be affected with Messi’s arrival.

Now, after all, the 22-year-old appears to be keen on leaving the French Capital club in Ligue 1 to join his long-time suitors Real Madrid.

Madrid have been linked with a summer move for Mbappe however their current financial state shows there is less room for any big-money signings.

Furthermore, it is also being reported that the Spanish capital club are planning to spend heavily next summer and have shortlisted top targets like Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba.

Even if Mbappe wants to force an exit, PSG would demand an astronomical fee and it remains to be seen whether Madrid could afford it at the moment.

Mbappe was on target during PSG’s 4-2 win against Strasbourg in the weekend. It is expected that the trio of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe could be soon in action in the same line-up.
