Bosnich: van de Beek transfer would work really well for Man United

Manchester United interested to sign Ajax's Donny van de Beek

The former Red Devils star has heaped praises on the Dutch midfielder.

Manchester United are nearing the transfer of Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek after reportedly agreeing a deal worth 40 million pounds.

Amidst this, former Manchester United star Mark Bosnich has called the capture of Van de Beek a fantastic one for the club while heaping praises on the midfielder.

Bosnich said,

“Those that watched the player during his time in Holland have seen the progress that he’s made. I think the way Ole (Gunnar Solskjaer) wants to move forward, it’ll work really, really well.”

Bosnich also added that Van de Beek would help United challenge for all possible titles.

“I think he’ll play more often than not. You can tell that Ole is trying to build a squad that will be sufficient for them to challenge on several fronts, not just for one particular competition.”

The 23-year-old was said to be wanted by Barcelona before the Red Devils moved ahead in the race.

Earlier, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag stated that Van de Beek would be available in the market and would not continue in Eredivisie.

Real Madrid came close to signing the Dutch midfielder before the pandemic scuppered the works.

Van de Beek is expected to sign a five year deal with the Old Trafford outfit and will be their first signing of the transfer window.
