PSG slam Real Madrid’s illegal approach for Kylian Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to the latest reports, Real Madrid have already had a bid of around €160 million turned down for the World Cup-winning forward.

However, the La Liga giants remain keen on signing him and an improved offer is expected soon.

Meanwhile, PSG director Leonardo has opened up on Real Madrid’s approach for the French international and he believes that the Spanish side have made an illegal approach for the player.

Apparently, Real Madrid have contacted the player without the permission of the French club.

Leonardo told RMC: “Mbappe would like to leave, this seems clear to me. If Real Madrid makes an offer, this seems clear to me. Me, I give a position, which I think is clear for everyone.

“We cannot change our plans in the final week of the window. If he is set on leaving, we will not hold him back, but it will be our terms.

“I can’t confirm the figures but it’s around that. It’s less than we paid. But it’s especially the way Madrid have done it that displeases us.

“Real have behaved like this for two years. It is wrong, illegal even as they have contacted the player. It is unacceptable for us, because it is not right.”

It will be interesting to see if the two clubs can sort out their differences and conclude the transfer agreement before the window closes at the end of this month.

It has been quite clear from the start of the summer that Mbappe wants to leave the French club and pursue a new challenge.

The player will be a free agent next summer and he has refused to sign an extension with Paris Saint Germain.

The French outfit are certainly under pressure to sell the player and Real Madrid are the only club who have come forward with a massive offer for him.

It seems that the two clubs are currently on a collision course and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few days.
