Manchester United crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford to Leicester City earlier tonight.

Mason Greenwood cancelled out the opening goal of the game from Luke Thomas in the first half, and Caglar Soyuncu bagged the winning goal early on in the second half.

Dramatic changes to the starting lineup

Manchester United made ten changes to the side that won 3-1 at Aston Villa.

It seems that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keeping his players fresh for the Liverpool match, which will take place on Thursday night.

The Red Devils started without Luke Shaw, Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford tonight.

Man City handed the title as Leicester close in on Champions League

Manchester United’s defeat tonight at Old Trafford means that they are 10 points adrift of their cross-town rivals Manchester City with just three matches left to play.

Pep Guardiola’s side have now wrapped up the Premier League title, and United will be hoping to Mount a better title challenge next season.

Meanwhile, Leicester have 66 points with just two games remaining, and another win should more or less confirm their place in the Champions League next season.

Brendan Rodgers has done an excellent job at the King Power stadium, and it is no surprise that the Foxes have managed to leapfrog the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham in the Premier League table this season.

Young talents on display

Manchester United fielded youngsters like Anthony Elanga, Amad Diallo and Mason Greenwood tonight, and the youngsters managed to impress. Greenwood, in particular, will be pushing for an England berth now. 

It remains to be seen whether Gareth Southgate is prepared to consider him for the Euros. 

Luke Thomas and Wesley Fofana were impressive for the visitors as well.
