Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
However, Pep Guardiola has now ruled out a summer move for the winger.
He said: “He decided to leave, why should he come back? When he decided to move to Dortmund it’s not that he’s going to come back. It would make no sense. If he wanted to leave, I’d say he doesn’t want to come back. It’s part of the process, we’d like to stay with the players of the last 10 years to be eternal but we grow in years and we have to replace them with new players.”
Sancho left Manchester City to join Dortmund and he has developed into a star in Germany.
City are not keen on bringing him back to the club despite losing Leroy Sane to Bayern Munich.
It will be interesting to see where Sancho ends up this summer. He is a world-class talent and he could have been a sensational addition to City’s attack.
Meanwhile, the Premier League giants have been linked with Kalidou Koulibaly as well.
It will be interesting to see if they can sign the Senegalese this summer.
Apparently, Pep wants to pair him up with Aymeric Laporte.
City have the financial muscle to pull off the transfer and it could improve them a lot.
In other news, Manchester City have finalised the signing of Pablo Moreno from Juventus. Felix Correia headed the other way in a swap deal.
The youngster is highly rated across Europe and it will be interesting to see how he develops at City now.
The Premier League giants are thought to be keen on the Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake as well.
As per reports, they have already opened talks with the Cherries to sign the player.
A poor defensive unit cost Guardiola’s side the title this year and City will be looking to improve on that front this summer.
They are also keen on signing the highly rated Barcelona defender Juan Larios.
