Arsenal ready to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer

After unpleasant contract situation with Mesut Ozil, Arsenal run into similar situation involving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just a year after handing him a massive contract.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang-Arsenal

Arsenal could look to cash in on star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang just a year after handing him a massive contract.

The 32-year-old has struggled to hit peak form since signing the new contract, and he managed to score just 10 Premier League goals last season.

Apparently, the striker earns around £350,000 a week, and the Gunners are prepared to let him leave this summer.

Aubameyang has recently featured in all six warm-up matches ahead of the new campaign, but the Arsenal striker has failed to hit the target once.

The report further states that Alexandre Lacazette could be on the chopping block as well after failing to impress since his arrival from Lyon.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal are prepared to weaken their attack considerably at this stage of the season.

If they decide to sell the likes of Aubameyang and Lacazette in the coming days, they might struggle to bring in adequate replacements before the transfer window closes.

There is no doubt that Arsenal need to bring in a quality striker this summer, and they are thought to be keen on signing the Chelsea player Tammy Abraham.

The 23-year-old needs regular game time to continue his development, and a move to Arsenal could be ideal for him.

Meanwhile, offloading a player like Aubameyang is easier said than done. The striker is on massive wages, and Arsenal will struggle to find suitors who are willing to fork out that kind of money for him every week.
