Barcelona want Van de Beek and Ndombele

Barcelona are looking to improve their midfield options during the January transfer window and they have identified two Premier League midfielders as potential targets.

According to the Sun, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek are on the Spanish club’s radar.

Ndombele has had a mixed time since his move to the Premier League and he has never really managed to establish himself as a key player under the likes of Jose Mourinho or Nuno Espirito Santo.

During his time at Lyon, he was regarded as one of the finest midfield prospects around Europe and a move away from the London club could help him regain his sharpness.

Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek has barely played since his move to Old Trafford and the Dutchman needs to leave in order to play regularly.

Barcelona could use a goalscoring midfielder like him and a reunion with Ronald Koeman at the Spanish club could transform his fortunes.

The Dutchman was linked with an exit earlier on in the summer.

Liverpool lead Cisse chase

Liverpool are reportedly keen on improving their defensive options and they are leading the chase for the Senegal defender Pape Abou Cisse (via Metro).

The 26-year-old has done well for Olympiacos and the Premier League giants have already made inquiries ahead of a potential transfer.

The likes of Arsenal and Everton are interested in signing the player as well but the Reds are currently in the driver’s seat to complete the signing.

Leicester City want Isco

Meanwhile, Premier League side Leicester City are keen on signing Spanish international midfielder Isco Alarcon from Real Madrid (via Leicester Mercury).

The 29-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the Spanish club and he needs to leave in order to play regularly.

Isco has played just 166 minutes in six league matches so far this season and he has been linked with a move away from the club in January.

Apparently, Everton are keen on signing the Spaniard as well and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
