Liverpool are set for a massive blow when the African Cup of nations begin and the Reds are already planning for a triple January swoop to cover for their African stars (via Daily Star).

The likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are set to take part in an international tournament with their respective nations and the Liverpool hierarchy are now looking to bring in reinforcements when the transfer window reopens.

Salah has been in exceptional form this season and the Reds cannot afford to lose him for an extended period of time.

It is evident that Liverpool will need to add more depth and quality to their attack, especially for the AFCON, and it will be interesting to see who they bring in.

The Reds have been linked with the likes of Jarrod Bowen in recent weeks and the West Ham United attacker could prove to be a quality addition.

According to reports, the Reds are hoping to add some depth to their central midfield as well and Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is on their radar.

The 28-year-old will be a free agent at the end of this season and the Reds could snap him up for a reasonable price during the winter transfer window.

Apparently, the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are keen on the player as well and it will be interesting to see if the Reds can fend off the competition and secure his services.

Furthermore, Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma is also a target for the Reds but the player has recently joined the Spanish club and it is highly unlikely that the La Liga side will cash in on him anytime soon.

Another player linked with a move to Liverpool is the Brazilian defender Gleison Bremer, who has done well for Torino.

Apparently, the player is a target for Antonio Conte at Tottenham as well and it remains to be seen where he ends up.
