According to reports, the Gunners will pay £27m for the 22-year-old centre back and the player has already completed his medical with the club.
Arsenal needed to strengthen their back four before the new season starts and the fans will be delighted with the signing of Gabriel.
The Brazilian is highly rated across Europe and he was a target for Napoli as well.
