Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from Etihad this summer, and Chelsea are reportedly keen on securing his services.

According to the latest reports, the Blues are currently exploring the opportunity to sign the England international. They are waiting for Manchester City to decide on a price tag for the former Liverpool star.

Sterling had a mixed campaign with Manchester City last year, and he is no longer a key starter for Pep Guardiola’s side. He started just 23 games last season.

The 27-year-old managed 13 goals and 5 assists last season, but the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez is likely to push him down the pecking order next season.

The England international is too good to sit on the bench, and he needs to join a club where he can play regular first-team football.

A move to Stamford Bridge could be ideal for Sterling, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can agree on a fee in the coming months.

It is no secret that Chelsea will need to add more quality and depth to their front three, and Sterling could be a quality acquisition for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The likes of Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku have been quite disappointing since joining the club, and the arrival of Sterling could push them to improve their performance levels.

The Manchester City winger is naturally a left-sided forward, but he has played as a striker for the Premier League champions in the past.

His versatility will be an added bonus for Chelsea.

Sterling has won four Premier League titles, four League cups and an FA Cup since joining Manchester City from Liverpool. He will be hoping for a similarly successful stint at Stamford Bridge if he ends up joining Chelsea this summer.
