Chelsea Transfers: Antonio Rudiger wants to stay, Jorginho linked with Serie A return

Anthony Rudiger of Chelsea againsr Leicester City in Premier League

Rudiger keen on Chelsea stay

Antonio Rudiger has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested in signing the German international.

According to the athletic, the 29-year-old defender will be a free agent at the end of the season but he is open to staying at Stamford Bridge beyond this season.

It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can agree on a new contract with the defender in the coming weeks.

So far the two parties have failed to agree on a new contract can Chelsea have been unwilling to accept Rudiger’s financial demands.

The 29-year-old is one of the best defenders in the world right now and letting him leave on a free transfer could be a massive blow for the Blues.

Jorginho linked with Serie A return

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been linked with a move away from the Premier League club as well.

The 30-year-old Italian international’s contract expires at the end of next season and 90 min are reporting that he is unlikely to be offered an extension at the Premier League club.

Apparently, the likes of Lazio, Juventus and AC Milan are keen on the player and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Jorginho has had a mixed spell at Chelsea so far and a return to Italy could help him recapture his peak form.

Furthermore, young players like Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour are coming back from loan at the end of the season and there will be a major competition for places in the central midfield next season.

Both youngsters have been exceptional during their loan spell and there is no reason why they cannot displace Jorginho in the starting lineup.
