Man Utd eyeing Pau Torres
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Villarreal defender Pau Torres.
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish club at the start of the season but he chose to stay at Villarreal because the Spanish outfit had managed to qualify for the Champions League.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have now revived their interest in signing the 25-year-old centre back and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off the signing in the coming weeks.
The 25-year-old is certainly one of the most talented defenders around Europe right now and he would be an upgrade on the likes of Harry Maguire.
However, it is fair to assume that the Red Devils will have to secure Champions League qualification in order to sign a player of his quality.
Roma keen on Matic
In other news, former Manchester United midfielder Jose Mourinho is looking to raid the Red Devils for Nemanja Matic this summer.
The Serbian midfielder is set to leave the Premier League this summer and he has already informed Manchester United of his decision.
According to TMW, Mourinho wants the 33-year-old to join Roma in a short term deal.
The Serbian could be a very useful player for the Italian club despite his age and signing him on a bargain could be a wise decision.
The 33-year-old has the leadership and the winning experience to make a big difference for Roma in the short term.
