Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Manchester United at the end of this season.

The 36-year-old Portuguese superstar has a contract with the Premier League club until the summer of 2023. Still, he could decide to leave at the end of this season if Manchester United’s choice of a permanent manager does not suit him.

The Red Devils appointed the 63-year-old German manager Ralf Rangnick as the interim boss until the end of the season, and they are set to appoint a new permanent manager in the summer.

It will be interesting to see whether the new managerial appointment appeals to Ronaldo.

The 36-year-old has been in exceptional form since his return to Old Trafford, and Manchester United will not want to lose him before the end of his contract.

Despite his age, Ronaldo remains a world-class footballer, and he has proven his worth by scoring crucial goals and winning vital points for Manchester United in several games this season.

The Red Devils have been linked with a number of managers in recent months, and it will be interesting to see who they end up appointing.

Mauricio Pochettino, in particular, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, and the former Tottenham manager could prove to be a wise acquisition for the Red Devils.

The Argentine is an attacking manager, and Cristiano Ronaldo could benefit from his arrival.

Having worked with players like Harry Kane, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Messi throughout his managerial career, Pochettino should be able to accommodate Ronaldo’s style of play as well.

Furthermore, the former Tottenham manager will surely know how to handle big egos in the dressing room, having managed PSG.

It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the next few months.
