UEFA Champions League 2020-21 Draw: Liverpool handed tricky draw, Bayern-PSG meet again

Bayern 1-0 PSG Bayern disengage PSG engines, win Champions League

The UEFA Champions League draw was concluded earlier today and last year’s finalists Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain will face each other in the quarter-finals of the competition next month.

Premier League giants Manchester City have been handed a favourable draw against Borussia Dortmund and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea will be up against Portuguese side FC Porto.

Meanwhile the finalists from the 2018 Champions League final Real Madrid and Liverpool face each other in the other quarter-final next month.

PSG were beaten by Bayern Munich in the Champions League final last season and the French outfit will be looking to avenge that defeat by dumping the German side out of the competition next month.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have a lot to prove against Real Madrid after the events of Kyiv in 2018.

Real Madrid won the final against the Premier League side back then and Sergio Ramos injured the Liverpool talisman, Mohamed Salah, with a poor challenge in the first half.

The first leg of the quarter-finals will take place on the 6th – 7th of April. The return legs are set to be held on the 13-14th of April with the semi-final ties scheduled for 27-28th April and 4-5th May.

The UEFA Champions League final will be held in the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on the 29th of May.

Winners of the Porto-Chelsea match will take on the winners of the Real Madrid-Liverpool match in the semi-finals and the winners of Manchester City-Dortmund March will take on the winner of Bayern Munich-PSG match in the last four.
