Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson will join the newly-promoted Premier League side, Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper needs to join a side where he can play regular first-team football.

The player was heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United, but the Magpies are yet to follow up on their interest with a concrete offer.

Apparently, Forest have already agreed on a deal with Manchester United to loan the player for the next season.

Henderson could prove to be a quality acquisition for the newly-promoted side. He had a fruitful loan spell at Sheffield United previously.

The 25-year-old was a backup option for David De Gea last season, and a player of his calibre deserves to play regularly at this stage of his career.

Henderson has the potential to develop into a top-class Premier league keeper, but he needs match fitness and game time.

The Manchester United keeper will also hope to push for a place in the England side ahead of the World Cup. Currently, the likes of Jordan Pickford and Nick Pope are ahead of him in the England pecking order.

It will be interesting to see whether Henderson can settle in quickly and make an immediate impact at Forest next season. He is used to playing in the Premier League, so he should be able to hit the ground running.

Meanwhile, Forest will be hoping to establish themselves as a regular Premier league side, and signings like Dean Henderson will help them improve.
