Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from the London club this summer, and the player is frustrated with the lack of trophies.

Kane wants to join a club where he can challenge for the Champions League and the Premier League regularly, and Manchester City have been tipped as a potential destination.

Meanwhile, the striker’s former manager Jose Mourinho has now shared his thoughts on the England international’s future amid the transfer rumours.

Mourinho has revealed that Daniel Levy is unlikely to sell the player this summer regardless of what Kane wants.

He also claimed that the England international made his desire to leave the club very clear before the Euros, but the club chairman is unlikely to be open to that option.

The former Tottenham manager believes, Kane will probably end up staying at the London club beyond this summer.

He said: “Signing a new contract, I don’t know. I would say that [Kane staying] probably is what is going to happen. I don’t see Mr Levy with the desire to sell him. Of course, Harry was evident before the Euros, but I don’t see Levy open for that, but only they know.”

Such a development will come as a major boost for the Tottenham fans who are desperate for their talisman to continue at White Hart Lane.

Now that the European Championships are over, it will be interesting to see if Harry Kane can sort out his long term future in the coming weeks.

The 27-year-old helped his country reach the final of Euro 2020, but England fell short eventually and lost out to Italy in a penalty shootout.
