The English striker has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League champions.

Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly keen on a summer move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who had stated his desire to leave North London earlier.

Spurs remain steadfast on keeping their prized asset beyond this summer, having reportedly rejected City’s first bid worth £100m.

However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano believes that Man City are braced for a big-money signing in the summer transfer window.

The Sky Blues emerged as serious contenders ever since Kane made his feelings clear about leaving Spurs.

The City had parted ways with Kun Aguero, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer, and there is a dire need for his replacement going into the next season.

Although Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland are some of the prolific names linked with the Premier League champions, Kane and Grealish are currently running high on their wishlist.

The 27-year-old feels that he has reached the breaking point of his career at Spurs, and he wants to try his luck out at a bigger club to win more trophies.

Even in the recently concluded Premier League season, Kane was arguably the best player after racking up 23 goals and 14 assists. Harry Kane won both Golden Boot and best playmaker in Premier League for 2020-21 season. Despite his brilliance, the North Londoners endured another run of the mill campaign.

Kane is now looking to build on his impressive club form to inspire England to Euro 2020 as they will play Ukraine in the quarter-finals.

City played without a striker for the majority of the last season but were still effective. However, it proved costly in the Champions League final against Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola’s side will look to continue their dominance next season, and a player of Kane’s calibre would help them succeed in the Champions League.
