Firmino, Mane, Henderson – Injury blow for Klopp

Liverpool are set to take on Arsenal in the Premier League this weekend and the Reds will be without multiple key players for the crunch clash as per Football London.

The Reds are without Brazilian international striker Roberto Firmino who was ruled out before the international break with a serious hamstring injury sustained against Atletico Madrid.

Furthermore, Senegal international Sadio Mane was forced off during the 1-1 draw against Togo in the international break with a rib injury and the winger could miss out as well.

Liverpool could also be without their captain Jordan Henderson who sustained an injury during England’s 5-0 win over Albania on Friday and he had to be sent home early from international duty.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can grind out a win against the Gunners without their key players. The Reds were beaten by West Ham in their last game and they dropped points against Brighton as well. The fans will be demanding a strong performance from the players here.

Elliott returns to training

That said, Jurgen Klopp’s side have been handed an injury boost with midfielder Harvey Elliot back in training as per the Athletic.

The highly talented attacking midfielder dislocated his ankle against Leeds United back in September and he has returned to the training ground for the first time on Monday.

The 18-year-old could be back in action by the end of this year and it would come as a major boost for the Reds who are missing his creative spark in the final third.
