The legendary Spanish midfielder has offered his verdict on Mbappe and Haaland.
Andres Iniesta has claimed that Kylian Mbappe will be a better fit for Barcelona than Erling Haaland.
Both Mbappe and Haaland have taken the football world by storm and are cited by many as the players to take the throne from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
However, Iniesta feels that Mbappe’s traits would make him an ideal option for the Blaugrana.
The legendary Barca midfielder said: “Perhaps because of his characteristics, Mbappe would fit better at Barca than Haaland.
“They are two very good players who are on everyone’s lips; we will see if they continue in their teams and do not change this summer.”
As of now, Barca haven’t been linked with Mbappe, and perhaps their arch-rivals Real Madrid are understood to be the frontrunners to sign him.
Dortmund star Haaland is reportedly on the radar of the Catalan club. However, their financial straits make him an unattainable target this summer.
Furthermore, the Blaugrana have already added the likes of Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero on a free transfer, which makes their attack a stacked one.
There is a possibility for Barca to go after Haaland next summer should he stay at Dortmund. Reports are stating that the Bundesliga would keep the Norwegian striker beyond this summer.
Depay has been seen as the successor to Luis Suarez, with manager Ronald Koeman keeping a lot of faith in his compatriot.
The Dutch forward is coming off an impressive season with Lyon, but it remains to be seen whether he can replicate the similar run of form in La Liga.
