Liverpool are looking to bring in a full-back this summer and they have identified Norwich City’s Jamal Lewis as a target.
As per the Athletic, the player is keen on joining the Reds but Norwich’ valuation of the player could scupper the chances of a move.
Apparently, the newly relegated side value Lewis at £20m and Liverpool are willing to pay half of that.
The Reds need to bring in quality back up for Andy Robertson and Lewis is one of the most talented young left-backs in the Premier League. There is no doubt that it would be a fantastic transfer for the player and the Reds.
Klopp could bring out the best in the player and help him develop his game further.
It will be interesting to see if Liverpool submit an offer for the player in the coming weeks. Norwich will have to lower their demands if they want to sign him.
Lewis has done well in the Premier League this season despite Norwich’s relegation and he deserves to stay in the top flight.
A move to Liverpool would allow him to fulfil his potential at the highest level. He would also be learning from the best full-backs in the league – Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.
It remains to be seen if the two clubs can come to an agreement soon.
