Liverpool make an enquiry for Ajax ace Antony

Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign the Ajax winger Antony this summer.

According to a report from Football Insider, the 22-year-old has attracted the attention of the Premier League giants, and they have enquired about his availability.

The player has also been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. Erik Ten Hag worked with the player during his time at Ajax, and he wants a reunion with the Brazilian.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can hijack United’s move for the highly-rated winger this summer.

The 22-year-old was one of the best players in the Dutch league last season, and he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League as well.

Antony has expressed his desire to move to England this summer, and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

Manchester United could use a quality winger like him, but Liverpool already have a world-class player like Mohamed Salah playing in a similar role. It will be interesting to see how they accommodate the Ajax star.

The Brazilian plays on the right flank, and he would add creativity and goals to the side. He is certainly a better fit for United as compared to the Reds.

Ajax value the player at £59million, and Liverpool might find it difficult to afford him after spending big on Darwin Nunez. Although the Reds sold Sadio Mane, they had already replaced him with Luis Diaz earlier last season.

Antony has 22 goals and 20 assists to his name since moving to Ajax, and he has a big future ahead of him. Time will tell whether the Reds can lure him away from Amsterdam.
