Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away from the Premier League giants for months now.

Pep Guardiola also admitted earlier this summer that the club would not hold on to an unhappy player.

It remains to be seen whether the Portuguese midfielder is desperate to move on this summer. Apparently, PSG are keen on signing him.

Le Parisien are claiming that PSG offered Neymar in exchange for Silva earlier this month, but City have decided to turn down the offer.

Neymar has been linked with several clubs this summer after PSG made it clear that he is no longer a key part of their plans. The 30-year-old has been a world-class player for several years and would improve most teams in world football.

He could have been a quality addition for Manchester City as well.

The Premier League giants have not managed to win the Champions League so far despite their financial influx, and Neymar would have been a coup for them. The Brazilian has won the Champions League with Barcelona, and his experience could have been vital for the Premier League champions.

Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva remains a key player for City, and his departure could be a blow for the champions. The Portuguese international will have no shortage of takers if he is made available this summer.

City will have to rely on Kevin De Bruyne as their only playmaker if Silva ends up leaving the club. Furthermore, Guardiola will miss his tactical and positional versatility as well.
