Chelsea have agreed on short term extensions with Pedro and Willian.

Both players will now finish the season with the Blues as per Guardian.

Willian and Pedro have been important players for the club and their decision to stay for the remainder of the season will certainly help Frank Lampard and the side.

The Blues are looking to qualify for next season’s Champions League and the likes of Willian and Pedro could make a big difference.

Next season, Chelsea will have players like Werner and Ziyech taking over. But they need the experienced duo this season.

Willian and Pedro have helped them win trophies in the past and they are established Premier League players who could win games for Lampard week in week out.

Chelsea are currently in fourth place and it will be interesting to see if they can stay there until the end of the season.

Manchester United and Wolves are breathing down their necks right now and they cannot afford to slip up.

Chelsea picked up an important win over Aston Villa last time out and they will be looking to carry that momentum into a crunch clash against Leicester City in their next game (FA Cup).

Initially, there were reports that Pedro has agreed to join Italian giants Roma and he won’t play again this season. Apparently, the Spaniard was worried about picking up an injury that would scupper his move to Serie A.

But those fears have now been eased and it will be interesting to see if Pedro and Willian can end their Chelsea career with silverware.
