Manchester United have reportedly approached the agent of Paulo Dybala as they look to bring the Argentine international to Old Trafford.
The Premier League giants were handed a shock on Saturday when veteran forward Cristiano Ronaldo expressed his desire to leave the club ahead of the new season.
The 37-year-old is reportedly frustrated by the club’s lack of transfer activity this summer and the general running of the club. He has reportedly disagreed with the decision to appoint three managers in quick succession following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last November and is also seeking a move outside of Old Trafford to play Champions League football.
According to reports, Man United would be satisfied to sell Ronaldo if a ‘suitable offer’ is put on the table. As a result, the club are now looking for a replacement for the Portuguese.
According to La Repubblica via Daily Mail, the Old Trafford chiefs have spoken to Dybala’s representatives in a bid to agree on a deal with the 28-year-old. But they will have to battle Arsenal for the signature of the player with the Gunners, also said to have made contact.
The Italian news outlet claims also that Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli are also interested in securing his signature, although there is no confirmation they have yet held talks with the forward’s agent Jorge Antun.
Dybala is a free agent after running down his contract at Juventus this summer, he spent seven years at Juventus having scored 115 goals in 293 appearances at the club.
