Manchester United keen on Antonio Rudiger, Leeds ace Illan Meslier scouted

Rudiger-Chelsea

Rangnick expected to lure Rudiger

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and it appears that Manchester United are keen on signing him.

According to a report via Daily Mail, the Red Devils are hoping that Ralf Rangnick can help them sign the 28-year-old German.

The 28-year-old is nearing the end of his contract with Chelsea, and the Blues have failed to reach an agreement with him so far.

Rudiger is reportedly demanding wages of around £200,000 per week, but Chelsea are only prepared to offer him £140,000 per week.

The likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are keen on signing the German international as well.

The Premier League giants are hoping that Ralf Rangnick can use his connections and lure the 28-year-old to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The newly appointed Manchester United boss has worked with the defender’s agent and half brother during his time at RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg. He has a strong relationship with the German defender’s representatives.

Rudiger has established himself as one of the best defenders in the league over the past year, and he would be a sensational addition to the Manchester United backline.

Red Devils keeping tabs on IlLan Meslier

Meanwhile, the Red Devils are also keeping tabs on the Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

According to a report from Daily Mail, the Red Devils sent goalkeeping scout Tony Coton to check on the Leeds United goalkeeper on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best young keepers in the Premier League, and he could be the ideal backup option to David De Gea.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, and the player wants to leave Manchester United in search of regular first-team football.

The Red Devils will have to bring in a quality backup option before letting Henderson leave, and Meslier could be a superb signing for them.
