Kimmich is regarded as one of the most talented players in Germany and it is no surprise that Bayern Munich have moved quickly to secure his long term future.

The versatile defender has been a key player for Bayern over the last few years and he has helped them win six Bundesliga titles, 3 DFB Cups, 1 Champions League title and five DFL super cups.

He has also won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup with the German outfit.

Kimmich can operate as a midfielder as well and the 26-year-old has developed into one of the best players in his position in recent seasons.

Having signed his contract extension with Bayern Munich, Kimmich has revealed that one of the main reasons why he extended his deal at the Bavarian club is because his family feels at home in Munich.

He said: “The most important reason for my contract extension is that I can pursue my passion with joy every day here at FC Bayern. I have a team where I can achieve everything, and a lot of teammates have become real friends. That’s why I started playing football in the first place because it should be fun. I still don’t think I’m at the end of my development and I’m convinced there’s a lot possible at FC Bayern in the next years. On top of that, my family feels at home here. Munich has become a second home. The combination we have here isn’t found all over the world.”

The 26-year-old is yet to enter his peak years and the fans will be delighted to see that the player will give the best years of his career to buy and Munich.
