Manchester United could be handed a major blow ahead of the return to the Premier League this weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive for the Coronavirus on international duty and it seems that Bruno Fernandes might have to self isolate in accordance with the protocols for the next few weeks.

The Portuguese midfielder is the best player at the club and losing him could be a massive blow for Manchester United.

According to reports, the midfielder could miss the next four games and it will be interesting to see how Manchester United cope in his absence.

He is their main source of creativity and goals right now and the Red Devils will have to improve a lot if they want to improve on their mediocre start to the season, especially without a key player now.

Despite Ronaldo testing positive on Tuesday, every other player in the Portugal squad has tested negative.

However, according to the new UK regulations the midfielder might be forced to stay at home for a couple of weeks because he was in close contact with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bruno Fernandes managed to turn Manchester United’s form around single-handedly after he signed for the club at the start of the year.

He ended up winning some personal accolades on the way as well. United will be hoping to have him back soon for their upcoming games and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Bruno has tested negative for coronavirus despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s positive test and is also featuring in United squad for Paris encounter.
