David Silva set to sign for Lazio on a three-year deal

Lazio remain confident of signing David Silva

The Spaniard is reportedly closing in on the move to Serie A.

Manchester City free agent David Silva has found his next destination, which turns out to be Lazio.

According to reports, Lazio are closing in on a summer move for the 34-year-old on a three-year deal.

After long speculation, Biancocelesti looks to have a deal in the place with the Spanish playmaker.

Silva, who still believes his age hasn’t got the better of him, has found Lazio the perfect place to continue his career. Furthermore, the Biancocelesti can offer the Spanish playmaker the Champions League football, unlike all of his interested clubs – Valencia, New York City.

Silva will also be in good company with Luis Alberto and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – who are probably amongst the best midfielders in Europe – should he make his move to Stadio Olimpico.

Silva is currently living the final days of his career with Man City, having already played his last Premier League match last month.

The former Valencia man is focused on the Champions League as the Citizens will play Lyon in the quarter-finals. Pep Guardiola’s men defeated Real Madrid to enter into the last eight.

Elsewhere, Lazio have concluded a brilliant season in Serie A, securing a place in the Champions League after a long time.

Lazio are also working on a contract extension of Ciro Immobile, who has had an eye-catching season. The Italian striker won the prestigious European Golden Shoe award after outscoring the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo.
