Erling Haaland-Borussia Dortmund

The Reds Devils set to battle out for the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Manchester United are planning to beat Premier League rivals, Chelsea in the race for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

According to reports, the Red Devils consider proposing a swap deal to the Bundesliga outfit involving Anthony Martial.

Martial is said to be placed on the transfer exchange by the Red Devils, and they want to use him as a makeweight for the signing of Haaland.

Thomas Tuchel’s side are keen on the Norwegian prospect and are said to have tabled a whopping offer of 130m pounds.

However, Die Borussen seem to be unhinged with the growing interest from Europe’s top clubs as they are planning for the new season with Haaland as they have recently parted ways with Jadon Sancho, who joined the Red Devils.

United were indeed close to signing the 20-year-old after tracking him for a long-time before he decided to join Dortmund in the end.

Haaland has become one of the finest players in the world and is being cited as one of the players who can take the mantle from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Although United are willing to sell Martial, his price tag coupled with wage demands could be a stumbling block for his suitors.

Nonetheless, Haaland is likely to stay at Signal Iduna Park next season due to the club’s firm stance on not selling him for any kind of fee.

The former Salzburg star has a release clause worth 75m euros, but it can be exercised in the summer of 2022.
