Max Allegri on Chelsea’s radar as potential Lampard replacement

Frank Lampard-Chelsea

Chelsea are apparently looking to bring in Max Allegri as a potential replacement for Frank Lampard.

Roman Abramovich is unhappy with the signing of Kepa and the Spaniard could end up costing Lampard his job.

The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper has been quite poor for the Premier League side ever since his £ 72 million move from the Spanish club.

His errors have cost Chelsea valuable points already this season.

It will be interesting to see if Frank Lampard can sort out his goalkeeping problems and guide the team to a respectable finish in the Premier League and challenge for the cups this season.

Chelsea have spent a lot of money this summer on signings like Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech.

Abramovich will be looking for a return on his investment and Chelsea are expected to challenge for the title.

Max Allegri has proven his quality with Juventus in the past and he could be a quality replacement for Lampard if the former Chelsea midfielder fails to deliver this season.

Lampard is quite inexperienced when it comes to being the manager and it remains to be seen how his team performs in the coming months.

So far the Blues have looked vulnerable at the back and they will have to improve massively in order to challenge the likes of Manchester City.

Max Allegri is currently a free agent after leaving Juventus and the Italian is on Chelsea’s radar if things do not improve under Lampard.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the coming months.
