The newly-revamped Magpies are keen on finding a replacement for Steve Bruce

Newcastle United, who have just undergone a 305m pounds takeover, are keen to replace under-fire manager Steve Bruce.

According to the Daily Mail, the new owners of Magpies are expected to sack Bruce soon and have identified Frank Lampard and Lucien Favre as potential alternatives.

It has been recently reported that Newcastle want an experienced manager to get the club out of the crisis.

Lampard was sacked by Chelsea last year after a poor run of results in his second season. His successor Thomas Tuchel has made a great impact at Stamford Bridge, helping the Blues win the Champions League title last season.

Lucien Favre has been without a job for around a year after being shown exit doors by Borussia Dortmund. The 63-year-old exhibited an exciting brand of football during his two-year spell at Signal Iduna Park and led Die Borussen to a second-place finish in Bundesliga in the 2018/19 season.

Favre was heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace in the summer window but he eventually turned down the offer.

Antonio Conte is another name on Newcastle’s agenda but the Italian will accept the job only if his demands are met, suggests a report from the Daily Express.

Conte led Inter Milan to the Serie A title last season but quit his job in the summer because of the club’s financial difficulties.

The former Juventus gaffer also turned down an offer from Tottenham in the summer transfer window after getting disappointed with the club’s ambitions.

Newcastle are currently 19th in the Premier League table and have managed only three points from seven games.
