Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on securing his services, as per Football London.

The talented young winger signed a long-term contract with the Londoners back in 2019, but he has failed to establish himself as a key player for Chelsea over the last few seasons. He was linked with a move away from Chelsea last summer as well.

It is evident that Hudson-Odoi is not a key starter for manager Thomas Tuchel and he might need to leave the London club to play more often. A move to Newcastle United could be ideal for the young winger, and the Magpies could offer him the platform to play on a regular basis and showcase his true potential.

The Blues have recently allowed players like Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Romelu Lukaku to leave the club. It will be quite surprising if they decide to weaken the squad further this summer. Selling Hudson-Odoi could prove to be a mistake, especially with the Chelsea attack lacking in-depth right now.

Meanwhile, Hakim Ziyech has been linked with a move away from Chelsea as well, and it will be interesting to see if the Blues manage to strengthen their attack before the window closes.

Hudson-Odoi could be a useful squad player for Chelsea next Premier League season.

That said, Newcastle are flush with cash right now, and they are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world. If they decide to come calling for the Chelsea winger, the Blues will be able to demand a premium, and they could be set for a major windfall this summer.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling and the proceeds from Hudson-Odoi’s sale could help them land their targets.

The Magpies managed to make some impressive signings halfway through last season, and that helped them finish the season strongly. They will be hoping to challenge for a European place next year, and it is fair to assume that they will look to bring in more players before the transfer window closes.

Hudson-Odoi could prove to be a quality long-term addition for Newcastle, and it remains to be seen whether they can pull off the signing in the coming weeks.
