Paul Pogba highlights the difference between Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Manchester United vs Tottenham- Preview, Key Stats and Lineups

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has hit out at former manager Jose Mourinho for his antics while he was at Old Trafford.

The French World Cup winner had constant issues with Mourinho when he was in charge of the Red Devils, and Pogba has now revealed the differences between Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

According to the Frenchman, Mourinho let the players down with his attitude towards them.

The Portuguese manager has a tendency of throwing his own players under the bus when things aren’t going according to plan, and Pogba slammed the current Tottenham manager for his lack of empathy and ability to protect his players.

He said: “What I have now with Ole is different. He wouldn’t go against the players. He wouldn’t go against the players. Maybe Ole wouldn’t pick them, but it’s not like he puts them on the side like they don’t exist anymore. That’s the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

“Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don’t know what happened. That’s the strange thing I had with Mourinho, and I cannot explain to you because even I don’t know. So, yeah.”

Solskjaer has managed to form a meaningful bond with his players, and he has managed to get the best out of struggling players like Luke Shaw. Shaw was mistreated by Mourinho during his time at Old Trafford, but the left-back has managed to develop into one of the best full-backs in the Premier League this season.

Mourinho has had similar experiences since taking over at Tottenham, and his mistreatment of Dele Alli has attracted a lot of criticism in the past few months.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been frozen out of the first team, and it will be interesting to see if the midfielder decides to move on at the end of this season.

When Mourinho was in charge of Manchester United, Pogba was linked with a move away from Old Trafford because of the differences between the two.

Manchester United have clearly improved a lot since the departure of Mourinho, and Solskjaer’s methods are certainly paying off.

Paul Pogba: "We won the game, he [José Mourinho] lost the game and doesn't want to speak about the game. He wants to speak about the dad of someone, that's what he does. You know, everybody knows him. It's very Mourinho." #mulive [sky]
"He (Ole) wouldn't go against the players, it is not like you put them on the side and they don't exist anymore." Paul Pogba has given a scathing verdict on Jose Mourinho's man-management, saying the former Manchester United boss cast players out without explanation
