Tottenham are looking to sign the Southampton striker Danny Ings this summer.

The 28 year old was one of the best strikers in the League last season and it is no surprise that the top clubs are looking to sign him. Ings bagged 25 goals last season.

Jose Mourinho needs to add more goals to his side and Danny Ings could prove to be a quality addition.

According to reports, the London club have now made an approach to sign the former Liverpool striker but Southampton are not keen on selling their prized asset.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince the Premier League side to change their stance and consider a sale in the coming weeks.

Tottenham struggled to score goals last season when Harry Kane was injured and if they manage to sign Danny Ings, it could solve  that problem for them this season.

If Tottenham manage to agree on a fee with Southampton convincing the player should not be too difficult for them.

They are a bigger club and they have a world class manager like Jose Mourinho in charge. Danny Ings is likely to be tempted to join them if they come forward with a concrete offer.

The Southampton player failed to prove himself as at a top club like Liverpool because of injury issues and he will be determined to show his quality at the highest level once again.

He knows the Premier League well and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact if he joins Tottenham.
