There were reports regarding the unavailability of the South American players following the international break.

Premier League clubs have been reportedly allowed to field the South American players for this weekend’s games.

The English clubs had earlier decided to stop South Americans from representing their countries during the international break as they would have been required to undergo quarantine for around 5 days.

Now, the English top-flight clubs can avail the services of the South American stars for the latest round of fixtures after FIFA and the football federations of South American countries have agreed to drop the quarantine restrictions.

The news comes as a huge boost for the top English clubs, with the players from South American countries being key to their sides.

Half of the Brazilian squad are undisputable starters for the top Premier League sides and their return will lessen the pressure for the managers. Alisson Becker and Fabinho will return to Liverpool, who have been impressive from the start of the new seasons.

Meanwhile, defending champions Manchester City can have the services of Ederson and Gabriel Jesus for Saturday’s game against Leicester City.  Chelsea will be happy to have Thiago Silva back to the squad and so do Manchester United with Fred.

However, Tottenham and Aston Villa will not have the services of the Argentine players Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero, Emi Buendia and Emiliano Martinez as they are currently in isolation after travelling to Brazil for the World Cup qualifier game, which was eventually cancelled.
