Tottenham picked up a 3-0 win over Leeds United in the Premier League earlier tonight.
The Londoners are now up to third in the Premier League table four points behind Manchester United and Liverpool.
Jose Mourinho’s team were at the top of the table a few weeks ago and they will be hoping to reclaim their position by putting together a winning run now.
Leeds United started the game strongly and they could have easily taken the lead 4 minutes into the game but Alioski hit the side netting.
Tottenham took the lead on the 29th minute when Alioski fouled Steven Bergwijn on the edge of the area and Harry Kane converted from the spot to score his 10th goal of the League season.
Tottenham doubled their advantage at the stroke of half time when Heung-Min Son found the net after he was picked out with a cross by Harry Kane.
Kane and Son have been in red hot form this season and it was the 13th time the pair combined to score a goal in the Premier League this season.
Toby Alderwireld scored the 3rd and final goal of the game from Son’s corner 5 minutes after the break.
The away side managed to come close on a number of occasions but Tottenham managed to contain them throughout the 90 minutes.
Jose Mourinho will be thoroughly impressed with his team’s performance tonight and the only negative for him was Matt Doherty’s stoppage-time red card.
The defeat tonight leaves Leeds United 11th in the Premier League table and they will be hoping to improve on their performance in the coming weeks.
Despite their defeats this season Leeds United have been quite impressive performance-wise and they will be hoping to finish in the top half.
