Tottenham are closing in on a deal to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.
The 31-year-old winger has fallen out of favour at the Spanish club and he needs to leave in order to play regular first-team football.
Jose Mourinho needs to improve his attacking options and he has identified the former Tottenham player as a target this summer.
Bale is a world-class player and on a loan deal he could prove to be a massive bargain for the Premier League club.
According to reports, the loan deal has been agreed between Real Madrid and Tottenham and the Spanish club are likely to pay a percentage of the player’s wages as well.
Premier League side Manchester United were linked with a move for the 31-year-old as well but the players agent has recently confirmed that Gareth Bale is keen on a return to Tottenham.
Meanwhile Tottenham have agreed on a 30 million euro deal to sign the Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon as well.
Manchester United tried to sign the 23-year-old defender as well but Real Madrid were keen on inserting a buy-back clause in his contract and the Red Devils were not prepared to accept that.
Tottenham have agreed to the buy-back clause and now Real Madrid can sign the player back if they wish to do so in future.
