Tottenham Hotspur eyeing a summer move for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen-Napoli

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to improve their attacking options during the summer transfer window, and they could make a move for the Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

According to a report from Football Insider, the Londoners wanted to sign the Nigerian striker last month, but Napoli turned down an inquiry from the Premier League club.

The 23-year-old has been exceptional since his move to Italy, and he could be a quality long term acquisition for the Londoners.

The report adds that the player is valued at around £70 million, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham are willing to shell out that kind of money for the young forward.

The Londoners are overly reliant on Harry Kane to score goals, and Osimhen could share the goalscoring burden alongside the England international next season.

The Nigerian is still relatively young, and Antonio Conte could help the player improve significantly and fulfil his world-class potential.

Conte prefers a formation with three defenders and two strikers, and therefore bringing in another quality goal scorer should be a top priority for Tottenham this summer.

It will be interesting to see if they can convince Napoli to part with their prized asset at the end of this season.

The chance to play in the Premier League is a massive opportunity for the player, and therefore Osimhen is unlikely to turn down the move if there is a concrete offer on the table.

Agreeing on personal terms with the player should not be a problem either, and it remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy can decide on a reasonable fee with the Italian outfit now.
