Zahavi demands a new Bayern deal for Robert Lewandowski, the striker could be on the move this summer

Robert Lewandowski-Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is nearing the end of his contract, and the striker’s agent is pushing for a new contract for his client.

The 32-year-old has a contract with the German club until the summer of 2023, and it will be interesting to see if his agent Pini Zahavi can negotiate a bumper new contract for the player.

Apparently, the Bavarian giants are unwilling to negotiate a new deal for the player just yet, and it seems that Lewandowski’s agent could push for a summer move away from the club.

The 32-year-old striker is valued at 60 million Euros, and there should not be a shortage of suitors if he’s available for transfer this summer. The Polish international is one of the best players in the world, and he’s arguably the best in his position.

Bayern will not want to lose him anytime soon, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds over the coming weeks.

The report further states that Zahavi could move the player to England, where he is likely to get a proper pay rise.

Apparently, Zahavi tried to pull a similar stunt back in 2018, and the player wanted to look for a new challenge back then. However, Bayern offered him a new deal in 2019, and he ended up staying at the German club.

This could be the last big paycheck for Lewandowski, and it is understandable why he is pushing for a new deal at this stage of his career.

The Polish international has scored 43 goals, and he has picked up eight assists in 37 appearances for Bayern Munich this season, and he’s simply indispensable for the European giants.
