Tottenham Hotspur Transfer: Gareth Bale’s future and Capello on Barella links

Gareth Bale-Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham winger Gareth Bale produced a scintillating display over Burnley at the weekend and Real Madrid are now ready to capitalize on his impressive form and sell him permanently to the Premier League club this summer.

Apparently the Spanish club are hoping to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint Germain and they need to get the Welshman’s wages off their books.

It will be interesting to see if Gareth Bale can continue to perform the way he did against Burnley for the remainder of the season.

The 31 year old showed that he can still be a world-class player and it remains to be seen if he can be consistent now.

Tottenham could certainly use more attacking depth in the summer and signing Gareth Bale permanently would be a good move for them if the Welshman can prove that he is ready to make a considerable impact on the starting lineup going forward.

Barella interest

Meanwhile former England manager Fabio Capello has claimed that Tottenham have missed out on signing one of the three best midfielders in Europe.

Apparently the London club tried to sign Nicolo Barella during the January transfer window but Inter Milan refused to sell the highly talented midfielder.

The 23 year old has three goals and ten assists to his name so far this season and he has the potential to develop into a world-class player.

Capello said: “Barella is without a shadow of a doubt one of the three best midfielders in European football. Without a shadow of a doubt”.
