Tottenham Hotspur appointed Antonio Conte as their manager earlier this season after a mediocre start under former manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Italian manager is expected to stamp his authority on the Tottenham squad when the transfer window reopens in January and it could be a busy month for the Londoners in terms of incomings and outgoings.

The Premier League side need to improve their defensive options next month and the likes of Alessio Romagnoli and Milan Skriniar have been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Both players have proven their quality in the Italian league and it will be interesting to see if Conte can lure them to the London club next month.

Meanwhile, the Premier League side will have to sort out contract extensions of key players like Hugo Lloris as well.

The French World Cup winner will be a free agent at the end of this season and Tottenham should look to offer him an extension period

The 35-year-old is still a valuable asset for the Premier League club and his experience and leadership could prove to be vital for Conte and Tottenham.

In terms of outgoings, Tottenham could look to cash in on the likes of Dele AlliHarry Winks Steven Bergwijn and Matt Doherty.

All four players have failed to live up to the expectations so far this season and they have been linked with moves away from the London club.

Meanwhile, summer signing Bryan Gil has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth as well along with the Welsh centre back Joe Rodon.

However, both youngsters are prodigiously talented and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to send them out on loan in order to gain some valuable first-team experience.

Conte will be hoping to finish in the Champions League places with Tottenham this season and he will need to bring in next the necessary reinforcements in order to finish in the top four.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham can get their signings across the line next month and finish the season strongly.
