After their disappointing loss in the Champions League, Tottenham will look to get back to winning ways when they take on Brendan Rodgers’ bottom-placed side.

Antonio Conte’s side were beaten by Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Despite entering the game as the stronger team on paper, the hosts toiled against their Portuguese opponents who remained compact and disciplined throughout the game.

The Portuguese side got their well-deserved lead in the 90th minute through substitute Joao Paulinho who turned provider once more three minutes later for Arthur Gomes who made no mistake to fire the ball past Hugo Lloris to stun Antonio Conte’s side.

The Italian tactician will now turn his attention to the Premier League as Spurs aim to mount a little challenge this season. With just one point between them and first-placed Arsenal, the Lillywhites know they stand a great chance to take a leap to the number one spot this week with a win against Brendan Rodgers’ side, albeit depending on the results of both Arsenal and second-placed Manchester City

Possible Tottenham starting line-up

Hugo Lloris; Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Ben Davies; Ivan Perisic, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Emerson Royal; Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Harry Kane.

Injured: Lucas Moura

Doubtful: None

Suspended: None

Leicester City

Leicester City have had a disastrous start to the season and sit rock bottom of the Premier League season.

The plight of the Foxes has not been helped with the lack of competent reinforcements after losing first-choice goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel who moved to Ligue 1 side, Nice , and Wesley Fofana who moved to Chelsea in the just concluded summer transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have failed to win any single game this season with five losses and one draw. The Irish coach has made his worst start to the season as a coach.

The Foxes were hammered 5-2 by Brighton in their last Premier League fixture before the break and will be keen to bounce back from their defeat when they take on Antonio Conte’s side.

Brendan Rodgers reiterated that he has the backing of the board despite his slow start to the season, but the Irish manager will be feeling the pressure mounting on his shoulders if results don’t improve in the coming weeks.

The Foxes come up against a Tottenham side who are vying for the title this season and will have to be at their best if they are to stand a chance against Antonio Conte’s men.

Possible Leicester starting line-up

Danny Ward; Timothy Castagne, Jonny Evans, Daniel Amartey, James Justin; Wilfred Ndidi; Youri Tielemans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka.

Injured: Ricardo Pereira, Ryan Bertrand
