Willian da Silva was out of contract in Chelsea and was looking for three years from the club. He got 3-years contract from North London club.
Pablo Marí was taken on loan from Flamengo to address leaky defence, though he received an injury, and was sidelined soon after.

Players – moved out of Arsenal
Emiliano Martínez was released as the Argentine asked for assurance from Mikel Arteta for more match-time. But Arsenal management kept faith on Brend Leno.
Lucas Torreira had fallen out of favour after Unai Emery. He was initially planned to be used for Thomas Partey swap deal, but later he moved to Madrid on loan.
Matteo Guendouzi had fallen out with Arsenal management and the talented playmaker.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan moved permanently to AS Roma after a successful loan term at Italian capital.
Arsenal Players – Contract renewal
Alexandre Lacazette – The Frenchman got his contract renewed.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had real chances to move out with Barcelona and few other top European clubs interested. But the Gabon international’s changed his mind after he was convinced with Mikel Arteta’s management as they won FA cup last season.
Bukayo Saka – the starlet who can play anywhere on the field was tied to a longterm contract with a ten times increase of salary.
